Making a Difference… One Hoofprint at a Time

At HOPE Therapeutic Riding Center Inc., volunteers are the heart of our programs. Every lesson, every trail ride, every breakthrough, and every smile is made possible by people who generously give their time, energy, and love.

Our programs serve children, teens, and adults through therapeutic riding, equine-assisted learning, mentorship, horsemanship, and community-based programs. Volunteers help create a safe, welcoming, encouraging environment where participants can grow in confidence, connection, independence, and joy.

Volunteer Opportunities

Lesson Volunteers

Assist during therapeutic riding and horsemanship lessons by helping participants, supporting instructors, walking beside riders, leading horses, and encouraging confidence and safety.

Barn & Horse Care Volunteers

Help with grooming, feeding, stall cleaning, sweeping, organizing tack, filling water buckets, and keeping the barn safe and welcoming.

Program Support Volunteers

Assist with special events, participant check-in, paperwork, program materials, celebrations, fundraisers, and seasonal activities.

Trail & Facility Support

Help maintain trails, clean outdoor areas, prepare obstacle courses, decorate spaces, organize supplies, and support farm projects.

Special Skills Volunteers

We welcome help with photography, social media, grant writing, fundraising, landscaping, building projects, office support, and community outreach.

Who Can Volunteer?

We welcome responsible, kind-hearted individuals who love helping others, enjoy being around horses, and believe in the mission of HOPE. Horse experience is helpful but not required for many volunteer roles. Training will be provided.

Volunteers should be dependable, patient, encouraging, safety-minded, and willing to work as part of a team.

Why Volunteer at HOPE?

When you volunteer at HOPE, you become part of something bigger than yourself. You help participants feel seen, supported, capable, and loved. You help horses continue their meaningful work. You help create moments of healing, courage, laughter, and growth. Sometimes the smallest act of service leaves the biggest hoofprint.
